Local ceramicist Kim of Native Blanket Design is joining us for a Valentine's Day workshop where you'll create either an adorable mug or bowl. Whether you're crafting with a sweetheart, a galentine, or treating yourself to a date, we invite you to join us! Want to make it even more of a date night? Swing by our neighbor, La Condesa, to enjoy a cocktail before the class, or make a reservation for a delicious fusion dinner afterwards.
You'll discover to joy of working with clay as you hand-build these adorable pieces, teaching you the basics of pottery and how to incorporate texture along the way. In addition to crafting your piece from start to finish, you'll have options to add texture, color, and your personal style.
You'll have the choice to either create a mug with a heart decal, or a heart-shaped bowl. Explore Valentine's-themed textures with bowls and mugs, or learn how to add a pop of color to your mug's decal with ink transfer.
Kim will add the finishing touches (including firing and glazing your handmade pottery items), and they'll be available for pickup at the shop.
