Join Evi Studio Art to add a touch of handmade art to textiles! In this workshop, you will learn the foundational skills of block printing to create a beautiful patterned tote bag. Using curated template designs, we will guide you through how to carve a block and turn it into a striking, multi-color repeating pattern on a canvas tote.
What You'll Learn:
- Design & Space: Understand the interplay between positive and negative space in relief printing.
- Transfer & Carve: Learn how to safely transfer template artwork to a carving block and use different blades.
- Ink & Press: Master using a brayer and textile ink to prep your block and apply it flawlessly to fabric.
- Pattern Making: Explore how to stamp a single block into a seamless all-over pattern or grid.
All materials are provided. Best of all, you will keep your carved block so you can continue printing at home!
