Eucalyptus Beanie + Socks Botanical Dyeing | 09/20 | 11AM-1PM
Join Evangeline of Yuyo Hues for this natural dyeing class where we'll explore a special eco-printing technique. You'll use eucalyptus leaves to dye a 100% wool beanie with stunning and surprising orange and rust colors extracted by the dyeing process.
While your beanie is cooking in the magic pot, we'll prepare a dye bath using various plants and flowers, and you can tie dye a pair of bamboo socks to match your beanie.
As we explore two botanical dyeing techniques, we'll chat about the best leaves and flowers for eco-printing, how different fabrics and fibers absorb natural color, and how you can "cook" color into place.
Come explore nature's alchemy, and leave with cozy botanically-inspired wear!
