Botanical Dyeing on Silk Scarves with Timberline Flower Farm | 09/21

Join Kim from Timberline Flower Farm for a hands-on botanical dyeing workshop! You'll create your own unique silk scarf using fresh flowers and leaves, many grown right here in Reno at her flower farm.

Kim will guide you through arranging botanicals directly onto pre-treated silk, then rolling and bundling your scarf for the dyeing process. We'll have natural dye blankets available if you want to add background color, or you can stick with the beautiful natural cream base.

The workshop will run about 3 hours total. While your dye sets, you'll enjoy snacks and create a pressed flower card as a bonus project. The best part? The big reveal when everyone unrolls their scarves to see what amazing patterns emerged!

Kim has been dyeing scarves for several years - you can see some of her gorgeous work inside the shop. Now you'll learn the techniques to make something completely your own.

Please wear clothes you don't mind getting messy and comfortable shoes. Feel free to bring your own botanicals too - even wilted flowers can create beautiful impressions!
