Sun Printing: A Cyanotype Workshop with Sierra Sown | 08/24

In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll discover the art of sun printing using botanicals and found objects to create stunning blue-and-white designs. You'll learn about the history of cyanotype art, essential techniques to get started, and best practices for sourcing and foraging natural materials.

Kali of Sierra Sown will give you both step-by-step guidance and the freedom to experiment. During the workshop, you’ll create a few cyanotype pieces using a variety of provided materials. If you have any shapes or botanicals that you'd like to create a momento with, feel free to also bring them!

Whether you’re a nature enthusiast, a budding artist, or simply curious, this workshop offers a unique way to connect with creativity and the natural world. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of cyanotype printing, finished artwork, and a botanical sun-printing kit so you're equipped to keep exploring your new creative outlet.
