Master of None: A Two-Day Immersive Workshop for Artown | 07/12 + 07/13

10 Art Forms. 2 Days. Zero Pressure. Just Play.

Remember when you were a kid, and you made things just to see what would happen? Before perfectionism crept in? Before you cared if it was “good”? Master of None is your invitation back to that fearless creativity.

Led by the incredible mixed-media artist Krystal w/ a K, this two-day experience is all about letting go, making a mess, and experimenting wildly. You’ll get hands-on with ten different art forms, from watercolor to wood burning, sculpture to collage.

This isn’t about mastery, it’s about play. Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned creative looking to shake things up, you’ll leave with newfound skills, finished pieces, and a rekindled creative spark.

What’s on the menu?

Sketching & Life Drawing: Warm up with quick, intuitive sketches that help you get comfortable making mistakes. This session is about drawing without fear, without overthinking — just moving your pencil and seeing what happens.

Jewelry Making: Dig into Jewelry Soup, where old and forgotten pieces come together in fresh new ways. Mix, match, and reimagine recycled beads, chains, and charms to create something uniquely yours.

Watercolor: Loose, fluid, expressive. Play with color, experiment with layering, and create soft, flowing forms — perfect for florals, abstract work, or just letting the water do its thing.

Sculpture: Shape, press, and mold air-dry clay into something both beautiful and functional. Maybe it’s a tiny trinket dish, a nature-inspired piece, or something totally unexpected. No rules here.

Block Printing: Carve, ink, and press your own handmade print using linocut techniques that have been around for centuries. The beauty? Each print is perfectly imperfect and completely your own.

Paper Making: DIY your own handmade paper using recycled materials and pulping techniques. Add dried flowers, pigments, or textures to make something totally unique and personal.

Candle Making: Melt, mix, and pour your own custom-scented soy candle into a thrifted vessel. Choose your scent, decorate your jar, and take home a little piece of cozy.

Collage: Cut, layer, and mix materials like old paintings, magazine clippings, and drawings into something playful and unexpected. The best part? There are no mistakes in collage — just happy accidents.

Acrylic: Bold, bright, and expressive. Learn how to layer color, mix textures, and embrace the process as you explore acrylic painting in a way that feels fun, free, and totally your own.

Wood Burning: Learn the basics of pyrography by burning your own design, phrase, or personal symbol into a wood block. A little fire, a little smoke, and a whole lot of fun.

No experience? No problem. This workshop is for anyone who wants to create, play, and experiment. There's just one rule: no perfectionism allowed!

Join us for a weekend of curiosity, exploration, and making for the joy of making.
